Will The Real Ice Cream Please Stand Up?

Yum!  Some Breyers' S'mores Ice Cream!

...Is not an accurate statement.  Look again, does it say Ice Cream anywhere on the packaging?  You can try to read the small text but I'll just tell you: no, it doesn't.  It says "Frozen Dairy Dessert."  Why?

So many questions!  Let me try to answer.

Ok, so this technically doesn't contain the right amount of dairy and fat to be considered "Ice Cream," so it cannot be labeled as such.   Now, in my opinion this just explains how Breyers has always tasted terrible.  What were those black things in their vanilla ice cream anyway?  This just irritates me so much, I had to make a post about it.  My friends have all heard my Breyers rant.   Don't buy Breyers.

It's actually really interesting to look at the "descriptors" in packages.  For example: Pringles says "Potato Crisps" because they're not actually fried, sliced potatoes like Lays.  They're made out of this doughy batter.
It’s not even that I don’t like Pringles, I do.  I think that it’s really helpful to have companies include what they are actually selling.  This way the consumer can choose to buy something if they truly want it.

Just know what you're buying
